Nixon v City and County of Denver

Nixon appealed summary judgment on his due process and first Amendment claims. The panel held that his brief was so deficient that it failed to raise any reviewable issues as to two arguments and the third failed as a matter of law as the alleged retaliation occurred before the alleged protected speech was said.

United States v Gallegos

Gallegos appealed her drug convictions. The panela affirmed holding evidence that she bought drugs numerous times and did so on credit  was sufficient to support her convictions and mention of a codefendant’s invocation of his right to an attorney did not require reversal as there was overwhelming evidence that Gallegos conspired to distribute drugs.
